Water, water, water, water.
It took me a really long time to fall in love with water.
As I’ve stated before, we were once foes but now we are like best friends that won’t leave each other’s side. Water has given me so much life – pun intended. My skin looks and feels amazing, I have the greatest amount of energy I’ve ever had, and I’m hydrated! That last part has to be the best perk of them all.
The Los Angeles climate will dry you out if you don’t keep yourself hydrated. Doing the #DrankMoWater challenge allowed me to see how important it was to stay hydrated especially in the upcoming Summer months. It gets really hot and dry here in LA; having a consistent water intake helps to balance out the dryness.
I wasn’t a big fan of water until I tricked myself into being a fan. Yes, I tricked myself.
Water doesn’t necessarily taste like anything, so in order for me to consume the eight glasses a day that I should, I added some of my favorite fruits to it. These water combinations were game changers for me! Adding in strawberries and a few mint leaves saved my life.
After the first time I experimented with adding strawberries, I went onto adding all sorts of fruit to my water.
I created five of my favorite combinations that I’ve been dying to share with you.
– Blueberry and Strawberry
– Lime and Cucumber
– Watermelon, Lime, Lemon and Blueberry
– Watermelon and Lime
– Lemon, Cucumber, Orange, Blueberry and Mint
These five combinations are all refreshing and good for any time of the year…especially for the summer. They are also packed with vital nutrients and antioxidants.
They are simple to prepare and encourages you to drink more water throughout the day. Grab your favorite infuser bottle or prepare these combinations in a jug – either way the taste will be the same.
Drinking water is an essential part of staying healthy and happy. Make this experience fun and add in that much needed flavor!
